Jennifer Miller is a Palace Acquire Federal Career Intern by day and a University of Alabama graduate student by night. She’s quite busy but loves it. She emphasizes education in her life and plans to continute to do so for herself and for others well into the future.

One of the best websites of the government is the Social Security Administration’s website. Simply access the site and away you go with the most up to date changes and endless options that actually lead you somewhere worth the virtual trip.

I have used this government information in my daily life for educational, advising, and general discussion purposes among my peers, family and friends, and co-workers in the public as well as private sector.

To be honest, government information is everywhere and it often contains the best of intent when it comes to analyzing a source. I tend to turn to the government when I need solid, trusted, tested information. Just look at our local grocer’s aisle of supplements and food. I believe I am much safer with an FDA (Food and Drug Administration) or USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) labeled product as opposed to those others. It’s an earned stamp of approval from years of testing!

So the next time you are in the local grocery store please make sure to acknowledge these two wonderful sources of government information and you are stacking your cards toward a longer life. Then, once you return home you may wish to check out the SSA.gov site in order to investigate your retirement income.

While you may think I’m nuts for believing retirement income from the SSA will be existent in the long term future, I assure you I am simply a health nut.
